The new Presidential Palace in Abu Dhabi (Qasr Al Watan) is one of the UAE’s most prestigious landmarks. Built on a 150-hectare plot with a built-up area exceeding 380,000 m², it houses the offices of heads of state and officials, hosts visiting dignitaries, and serves as a public cultural destination. The Palace encompasses museum galleries, exhibition halls, a national library, and curated installations covering 134,725 m², including 46,500 m² of exhibition and gallery spaces that display artifacts, royal archives, and cultural narratives celebrating the UAE’s heritage, governance, and intellectual legacy.
Xavier Cartron SAS had the privilege to contribute to this exceptional project, being commissioned to design and supervise more than 80,000 m² of VIP and official areas as well as the museum spaces within the Palace complex. The design objectives were to establish a unique and original interior statement that embodies timeless elegance and innovation, while reflecting local traditions and Islamic cultural principles through geometry, ornamentation, and craftsmanship. The concept integrates state-of-the-art technology with traditional motifs to create immersive, educational, and ceremonial experiences, aiming to leave a lasting legacy that symbolizes national pride and inspires future generations.

Xavier Cartron Agency disposes of a modern and comprehensive its infrastructure for developing studies using AUTO-CAD software. The concept design images are developed in 3D. However, Xavier Cartron still gives a great importance for a tangible approach in finding the sensitivity and the essence of the project expressed on paper by the designer’s hand.
Some clients favour traditional design approach in their project, Consequently, Xavier Cartron offer them the opportunity of discovering the charm and sensitivity of hand-drawn perspectives, water colour elevations, redrawn and shaded motives. These projects are afterwards expressed in digital images in line with the actual modern communication techniques.
It is quite usual for our Agency to manage major large size projects in many different parts of the world. As a result, all teams are used to dealing with different international standards and norms.
