The Moroccan Pavilion of Putrajaya is the ambassador
building of the Moroccan handicrafts in Asia. In a
sober marble cube, Xavier Cartron imagined 4 places
each representing an Imperial city of Morocco (Rabat,
Meknes, Fez, Marrakech). These 4 rooms are articulated
around a central patio freely inspired by the court of
the Lions of the Alhambra, imaging Andalusia, the
cradle of Moorish architecture.
Le Pavillon Marocain de Putrajaya est le Bâtiment
ambassadeur de l’artisanat Marocain en Asie. Dans
un cube de marbre sobre, Xavier Cartron a imaginé
4 lieux représentant chacun une ville Impériale du
Maroc (Rabat, Meknès, Fez, Marrakech). Ces 4
pièces s’articulent autour d’un patio central librement
inspiré de la cour des Lions de L’Alhambra, Imageant
l’Andalousie, berceau de l’architecture Mauresque.
